Positive

So things have been a bit off lately, my weight isn’t dropping like I want it too, I’m not working, I seem to be having some medical issues (headaches, etc) that I should go get checked out. And don’t get me wrong, I am enjoying being out of work but I’m rethinking whether or not I should go back sooner rather than the later I was looking at. I guess maybe I really should start looking into selling my salads and other things soon… I need some positive thoughts and so today’s blog is all positive quotes that I have found somewhere online. Feel free to add any you might think will help…

Will Durant

~ Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.”

~ You have to believe in happiness, or happiness never comes.

~ If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.

The-Cheap.net

Just a quick post to let you all know that there is a great contest on the-cheap.net, a site that I am on weekly (try to be on more but I don’t get to use my computer as much as I would like to with Brittany’s being broken and Zac not having one) but when I do get my computer, I’m always checking out this site.  They are having a contest for a Nook Simple Touch Reader, which would be great for Brittany, so I am trying for it myself.  I think it might help her read more if it’s just something like mine that she can take with her.  I love my Nook (and I know Eric loves it too)!!!  For those that currently have one, makes a great gift and you don’t have to do much to be in the contest and for those that don’t have one, Why??  I have read so much since getting mine!!

ToT

1. I so wish Eric and I could afford for me to stay home and not work. The kids are older and they really don’t need me home and I’m not the greatest home maker, but I really wish I could be a stay-at-home mom. I like my job for the most part but there are bits and people I just can’t stand and I would love to be home with the kids, especially over the summer.

2. The kids both had their first All-Star games tonight and neither one was any good. Both lost by slaughter rule, even though there wasn’t a slaughter rule in Brittany’s league. Pretty bad.

3. I’m not doing great with Lia Sophia, though I’m not really pushing it. I have to start doing that. I’m going to do a book party this month because they have a great monthly special.

4. Sometimes I wish I could be a better person. I’m pretty judgmental but I’m trying to get better at that. I find I’m better at it when it comes to some things but not everything and I need to work on that more.

5. I love the fact that our lives revolve around the kids and their sports but sometimes it gets tiring to come home for dinner at 8pm all the time and still have to make it. We need to find more low fat crock pot recipes I think…

6. I really want a burger. A good burger! Something with Swiss Cheese and mushrooms and onions and Ranch Dressing and just dripping with grease. I really have to stop watching Food Network!

7. We need a new fridge. The one we have wasn’t great when we brought it with us. Zac had broken a shelf when we moved out of Avon (by accident of course). It’s missing the railing parts on the doors. It just kind of a mess. Just can’t afford it right now though. Maybe with our next quarterly bonus but we still need to really save for Disney. It’s 115 days away!

8. Speaking of Disney, I can’t wait to go. I’m hoping to get out of there as cheaply as possible, but I’m not sure. We should be able to get away fairly cheaply, as the food is all paid for and the parks are all paid for. Still owe Mom and Dad a boat load of money though.

9. I’m looking around for things to write about because it was a little harder to write this one. I want to get back to sewing. Brittany and I need to both get back to it. She got a great sewing machine for Christmas and hasn’t used it much. We have to go shopping and get a pattern and some fabric and make something simple for Florida. Maybe a bag or something.

10. I know I wrote about this last Tuesday also, but I’m feeling pretty fat. I came off the diet this weekend, partially because it was just easier and partially because I needed an indulgence (I’m a girl after all and once in awhile you need some chocolate and some salt) but I’m paying for it now. I have to go get a bathing suit and I have no desire to do that. I just don’t want to try them on. I apologize, but diet-wise, this might be one that is posted on all my ToT’s. Sorry.

RIP Ray Kerr

So I’m not sure what I want to say on this topic other than you will be missed Ray and my heart goes out to Katie and those kids. You’ve only recently come in to our lives and I’m afraid that it will be short lived, but I hope that you know that we will always be thinking of you. For those of you that read this, please, hug your loved ones. Tell them you love them every chance you get because you never know when you see them if it will be the last time. Set aside any grudges or animosity you have towards anyone. It’s not worth it in the long run. I love you guys and I don’t know what I would do without you.
